New York City — The Club Sports Organization, parent company of ClubLacrosse.Org , and LacrosseReference.com are happy to announce their new partnership for completing the data mosaic.

LacrosseReference.com has an unmatched data offering in the Collegiate Mens and Womens Lacrosse space. Along with avid lacrosse fans and followers, their clients include collegiate coaches and staff who want to know more about their players and their opponents. LacrosseReference.com computes many team level statistics that go well beyond the typical win percentage, strength of schedule, and opponent’s strength of schedule. While AWS is busy computing many valuable statistics for NFL football, LacrosseReference.com tries to do the same for Collegiate Lacrosse. LacrosseReference.com curates player level data for almost 1,000 collegiate lacrosse teams.

ClubLacrosse.org found the data to be incredibly complimentary for their userbase that wants to play collegiate lacrosse. By augmenting ClubLacrosse.org’s 17,000 player commitment datastore with current collegiate player position and academic year information, players and parents can find where their is opportunity to be recruited on a collegiate roster. What users can find is incredibly informative and aids greatly in the recruitment process.

For example, if an aspiring player wants to know if their is an opportunity for them as, for example, a goalie on their dream team, they can see how many goalies are currently on that university’s roster as well as the grade decomposition. They would next view that data in conjunction with the number of current commits (if any). Given this mosaic of information, we are able to answer the following questions:

  • Is this a good academic and athletic fit for the player?
  • Is there a need for a player of my position at these institutions?
  • Have they already filled the spots? If no, when do they typically recruit their players? Am I too late or too early? Should I be panicking?
  • ClubLacrosse.org has partnered with a number of Club Directors to help educate their players on parents on these best practices of maximizing their chance of being recruited to their dream program. Parents and players have access to the data and receive daily and/or weekly updates on commitments.

There is a subindustry of consultants to guide players through the recruitment process. This is the data they all are manually and individually curating. We have now productionalized the process so that players, parents, and coaches can all have full clarity on where there might be a great opportunity or where there is a closed door. By centralizing the data and slicing it in intuitive ways, ClubLacrosse.org and LacrosseReference.com have enabled players and parents to see the full picture.
